Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Jeannette Matta took the risk of launching a self-funded nonprofit, MC Foundation in February 2021, but long before her growth as the platform’s CEO, she was already an entrepreneur paving her way as one of today’s human rights and anti-trafficking community leaders, advocate, and educators in the field. Today, MC Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization that continues to be self-funded and in February 2022, due to the harsh reality her community faces, launched the “Florida 3-2-1 Anti-Trafficking Campaign.” In its first 10 months, MC Foundation rescued 18 victims of human trafficking through a private network of concerned Floridians.
In June 2022, Ms. Matta launched the International Institute of Human Rights, the only one of its kind in Tampa, Florida focusing on certified studies in human rights, human trafficking, and domestic violence, among others, and added to its course menu a cultural arts programs.
Ms. Matta is the Chair of the Hillsborough County Human Relations Board, member of the Adult Education Human Trafficking Committee of the Hillsborough County Public School Board, and member of the Community Engagement Committee of the Straz Center for the Performing Arts.
Ms. Matta has traveled extensively advocating for childrens rights and womens rights, and the rights of immigrants and refugees. She is a Certified Protocol Officer, a Certified Consultant in Human Rights, Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, Diplomacy, Protocol & Etiquette, Virtual Event Consulting, and an Immigration Paralegal. Ms. Matta holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration/Public Policy, and a Masters in Social Justice/Public Administration. Ms. Matta is also multi-lingual.
