WE CAN AND MUST END HUMAN TRAFFICKING
We have proven that together we can end epidemics, pandemics, diseases and wars. As stated by Homeland Security's Blue Campaign:
"Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act."
Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in the United States.
It can happen in any community and victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality. Traffickers might use the following methods to lure victims into trafficking situations:
- Violence
- Manipulation
- False promises of well-paying jobs
- Romantic relationships
Language barriers, fear of their traffickers, and/or fear of law enforcement frequently keep victims from seeking help, making human trafficking a hidden crime. Awareness of this heinous crime that lures our streets, that is living in our backyards, is KEY in protecting ourselves, our loved ones and our communities.
MC Foundation is working with community partners and encouraging everyone to join our Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign to keep our children and families safe and away from these predators - only TOGETHER can we stop these criminals and set our streets free!

Florida 3-2-1
Anti-Trafficking Campaign
MC Foundation's Anti-Trafficking Campaign was launched on February 5, 2022 to prevent human trafficking through awareness and education, and to protect exploited persons.
According to the Human Tracking Hotline, Florida continues to rank third in the U.S. for human trafficking cases behind California and Texas. In 2021, the state had 781 cases, which is 7.54% of the U.S. total.
Human trafficking is the business of stealing freedom for profit. In many instances, traffickers use means like tricking, defrauding and/or physically forcing victims into providing commercial sex against their will. Too often, victims are lied to, too many assaulted, always threatened or manipulated up to and including working under inhumane, illegal or otherwise unacceptable conditions. Human trafficking is a multi-billion dollar criminal industry denying the freedom to 24.9 million people around the world according to statistics.
MC Foundation strives to continue growing its partnership to grow awareness in recognizing signs and learning the areas where human trafficking occurs as in labor, sex, construction, and the hospitality industries, to mention some.
